A UKRAINIAN VICTORY AT EUROCON-2011

Kyiv citizen Mariya Ryapolova has won a European Science Fiction Society award (the ESFS Encouragement Award) for her debut fantasy novel "Buretsvit.” The book was published at the end of 2010.
The winners were announced in Stockholm during Eurocon-2011, the annual convention of the European science fiction community.
Mariya Ryapolova is a journalist as well as a writer, and won the 2008 Star Castle award for fantastical stories for her tale, "Where Angels Come From.”
